LION KING is challenging Clark County School District
(CCSD) students in grades one through five to write a short essay on “Why My
School Should Go to THE
LION KING” for the opportunity to see the show before its
final performance Friday, Dec. 30. A panel of judges from CCSD will read all
submissions and the winning student and his or her school  will receive the amazing opportunity to visit
the imaginative African Savannah in celebration of an incredible two-and-a-half
years on The Strip.

“We congratulate Disney’s THE

are thrilled to partner with the show to not only give students the opportunity
to see this extraordinary production, but also to further their education as
they put creative ideas in writing,” said Judy Meyers. coordinator for CCSD
School-Community Partnership Program. “THE
LION KING is a musical every child, and adult, should see in his or her
lifetime and we’re honored to share this experience with our students.”

Jack Eldon, vice president,

THE
LION KING has performed an incredible 1,000 shows at Mandalay Bay and want to celebrate with the local community. For a
child to have THE

a young person to the artistry and magic of the theatre. We thank CCSD for its
partnership and wish the students good luck!”
